Ajax Mobile Tire Installation & Balancing Guide

Prepare an Ajax mobile tire installation with correct fitment, TPMS and wheel details. Confirm mounting, balancing equipment and repair eligibility.

Tell the provider whether you have loose tires or complete wheel assemblies. Installation and balancing equipment, tire construction and site access determine whether the requested job can be completed on location.

Need loose tires mounted and balanced? Contact Us. Give tire size, wheel diameter, construction and TPMS details. Confirm the equipment and location before booking.

Equipment and locationSite access and assembly requirements determine confirmed mobile capability.Job address, working area and any low-profile or run-flat requirements.

Specify the installation package

Provide wheel diameter, tire construction, TPMS type and whether the wheels are aftermarket. Ask which valve or sensor service parts are included, whether sensor programming is separate from relearning, and whether old tires are removed. A static “mobile installation” label does not confirm capability for every run-flat, low-profile or oversized assembly. Confirm the exact application and equipment before booking.

Define TPMS work in a loose-tire installation quote

  • Identify direct sensors versus an indirect pressure-monitoring system before adding sensor parts to the estimate.
  • For direct TPMS, confirm protocol/frequency, valve and seal service parts, sensor condition and vehicle-specific compatibility.
  • Separate programming a compatible replacement sensor from the procedure that makes the vehicle recognize sensor IDs or wheel positions.
  • Ask how the system’s operation will be checked after installation and what happens if an existing sensor is unserviceable.

Sensor service can affect both parts cost and appointment time. A dashboard reset cannot compensate for an incompatible sensor or a continuing air leak.

Distinguish a wheel swap from mounting loose tires

A seasonal wheel swap installs tires already mounted on their own wheels. Loose tires need demounting, mounting and balancing; this requires different equipment and a different quote. Provide wheel size, vehicle details, locking-key availability and photos of the assemblies before booking.

Wheel installation requires approved lifting points, clean mating surfaces, compatible hardware and the OEM torque specification. Lubricate fasteners only when the procedure calls for it. Direct TPMS sensors may need application-specific programming and/or a relearn; indirect TPMS generally uses a vehicle reset procedure. Confirm sensor compatibility and included labour in the installation and balancing estimate.

Separate balance, alignment and vibration diagnosis

Dynamic balancing corrects mass imbalance in the tire-and-wheel assembly. Alignment measures wheel geometry against vehicle-specific toe, camber, caster and thrust-angle targets. Neither procedure automatically solves every vibration. Radial or lateral runout, tire uniformity, hub seating and worn suspension parts can require separate diagnosis.

Road-force measurement uses additional diagnostic equipment; confirm availability before specifying it. Ask for the before-and-after alignment measurements where an alignment is performed. Steering-angle reset and ADAS calibration are application-dependent operations, with their own prerequisites and charges.

Define the installed package and TPMS work

Specify loose tires or complete assemblies, tire construction, wheel dimensions and sensor requirements. Confirm mounting, balancing, valve or sensor parts, disposal and any programming or relearn charges in the installed estimate. Contact Us. Confirm current hours and the appointment at the North York shop, or the accepted mobile tire coverage for the job address.
